Storm Damage – Pensacola Medical Center

Storm damage occurred when huge sections of roofing materials were ripped from this Pensacola Medical Center creating considerable flooding over the 10,000 plus square foot building. SERVPRO was contacted during the storm to provide tarping for the sections of roof that had been breached by the storm. High winds made it difficult to secure tarps, and new damage was occurring as we attempted to stop the increasing flow of water into the building. Conditions were critical and cleaning up the water quickly was necessary to allow the facility to maintain operations. We were equipped with significant commercial water removal equipment and the highly trained staff to operate the sophisticated machines. So much water had entered the building that the subflooring was damaged according to the reading of SERVPRO’s moisture reading meters. We were forced to tear out and remove substantial amounts of flooring in order to set up commercial air movers and dehumidification equipment to dry the subfloors.
