Fire Response

How everyone responds to a fire makes a huge difference in the final outcome. The first response truly begins with the safety of the occupants. Their safety and getting out of the building is always number one priority, and then contacting the fire department. The next response comes from the fire fire fighters. They stay ready to dispatch and get a truck to the site within minutes of receiving the call, and work quickly to get control of the fire, and put it out. once everyone is safe and the active fire is managed, the mitigation work begins. We step in to salvage what is possible, and repair and replace the pieces that need it. Again, fast response means a lot during this initial period, so we encourage people to contact SERVPRO immediately within first 24 hours of the fire. We operate of 24/7 emergency response, so calling us at anytime of night, while the fire is going is an option and can be very helpful, because sometimes there are services we can provide like boarding up the openings that help prevent further unnecessary damages. Our employees are trained not only in fire and property restoration, but also in helping to restore a customer's peace of mind during the traumatic experience. It helps to have SERVPRO there to let share our experiences of how properties and lives can be fully restored even when it looks to be hopeless. People sometimes get the notion that they can perform the clean up themselves, not realizing how many ways fire effects things. And honestly it is best to limit entering the structure and moving things, as it can stir soot. SERVPRO of West Pensacola is happy to come evaluate the scene and give an estimate of what it will take for us to handle the job, as well as giving the customer effective resources and advice based on our professional materials and experience. So that customers know where they stand, and can make an informed decision about how to move forward
