It is well established that SERVPRO offers the best in class, and has set the standard of excellence in the restoration industry. It is up to us as brand representatives, and franchise owners, to uphold that standard, but also to let people know that its not always just a brand or a franchise that does the work, but the people who make each individual franchise what they are. We are proud of our team, which is starting to feel a lot like family. Thanks in large part to our owners Steve and Kellie, who left their homes in Arkansas to come raise their children at the Beach, doesn't sound like much of a sacrifice right??? But you must not know how great Arkansas is...But by working closely in the company, and raising it up from when they were the only employees, is what has made it still feel like a family company, even at the size were are today. Our team cares about each other, but it shows in their work how much they care about their community. SERVPRO West Pensacola is made up mostly of people born and raised in the area. Mason Bradley (Production Manager) is from Pensacola, lives in Milton, and has been helping Steve and Kelly run the show since the early days, and knows about everything there is to know about mitigation work. Now he has his trusted friend, Sean McGuirk (Construction Manager) to lean on when it comes to the rebuild side of the business. So with Sean as General Contractor and Mason's classifications, we have enough licenses to cover us all, even if the game warden shows up; there isn't much you could throw at them that they couldn't handle, and nobody in Pensacola, needs to be too worried about property damage, at least not on their watch. Steve our owner, who is kind of the boss, but still is known by another name, "The Mold Doctor", due to his encyclopedic knowledge of the fungal world and how to treat it, and is more than willing to share his wisdom on the subject with anyone that may inquire, and he has started to build a reputation in town for being the honest mold assessor, he'll let you know the simplest way to treat mold, even if that means you don't need SERVPRO, but he takes the time to explain things, and definitely does not prescribe unnecessary and excessive procedures in his estimates. But its a well founded truth that a company is only as successful as the people that are performing the work. And our team of crew chiefs and technicians is as good as anyone could ask for. Mikey, Rob, Jedediah and Jagger have all from the local area and have worked with SERVPRO of West Pensacola for years. They know the area well and enjoy helping in throughout the different communities that make Pensacola. Its always a good sign when people can work together well,  and still want to hang out off the clock. And at SERVPRO of West Pensacola, it really all starts and ends with Jennifer our office manager, she is so kind and patient, not only with customers, but with all of us. She does about 500 different things a day, but always takes time to help everyone. She makes it all go smooth. All together the group we have enjoys working together, and taking care of people in their hometown, which essentially that feeling gets passed off to our customers.

The success of most everything we do can typically be traced back to our level of communication. Did we communicate plans or job orders clearly? Did we communicate our goals or intentions clearly? At SERVPRO if West Pensacola we are always working towards optimizing our communication, whether that is with our customers, insurance professionals, vendors or our team, we know that clear and consistent communication is what makes a good organization into a great one. You can have all the skills and resources in the work, but if you don't communicate well then there is bound to be some breakdowns and bottlenecks that lower the ceiling on your business. Our policy is to communicate with customers and pertinent parties involved in a job daily, until we follow through and the job is complete. Job status reports as well as just checking in to make sure they feel informed. Scheduled daily and weekly staff meetings with our team as well as impromptu huddles keep us on the same page and working together. Its not to say we have perfected the system but we are constantly working on being better at communication.

SERVPRO HOUSE LOGO WITH GREEN BACKGROUND SERVPRO makes life easier

Its all about the process. SERVPRO has built a tried and true system that is geared towards making the claims process smooth and efficient for all parties involved, from the adjuster to the property manager  and essentially the property owner or resident. A couple of the key elements are COMMUNICATION and DOCUMENTATION. Optimally SERVPRO of West Pensacola will already have done a full property evaluation and photo documented the entire facility or residence. So that the preexisting condition is well established. If these photos are not in place then, the new get the call to respond to the loss, we immediately begin to photo document the entire area and gather data such as moisture readings, mold spores, and conditions of all parts of the structure from the roof and exterior to the interior guts and insulation. We then are able to build our estimates based on established IICRC protocols, so that everything is packaged for the Insurance Adjuster to compare data and evaluate the policy in accordance with accurate proof of the damages and evidence of the cause of loss. This makes for a swift turn around on getting claims approved, and allowing us to start reconstructing the property for the customer!! Easy as that!

Why choose SERVPRO of West Pensacola for COVID-19 cleaning?

11/11/2020 (Permalink)

Why Choose SERVPRO of West Pensacola for COVID 19 cleaning?

The Covid 19 Virus has been a definitive part of 2020, and SERVPRO of West Pensacola has been involved from the very beginning of the pandemic. We were a good ways ahead of the class, because leading into the winter of 2019 we invested in electrostatic sprayers to be able to help try and curb FLU outbreaks in the school systems. So when the Pensacola area started to report positive cases of COVID-19, we were ready to respond immediately. Many of our larger business and manufacturing plants in the area were able to call on us from the very beginning and start having their facilities frequently disinfected, as a precautionary measure, allowing them to stay in business, and prevent outbreaks within their workforce. We enrolled our staff in NORMI training so that our technicians are Certified in Bio-Pathogen Application. This gives them a better understanding of how viruses and pathogens work, as well as the reasons behind what disinfectants to use and how to effectively apply them. We have become well versed in proper procedures for COVID cleanings, ranging from Stage-1 preventative cleaning to Stage-3 positive cases. In the event of positive cases, all of our techs wear full PPE gear, with full body protective suits, face masks/ventilators, gloves and coverings. Along with applying disinfectant using Electrostatic sprayers, our technicians also cover affected areas by wiping down by hand. SERVPRO of West Pensacola also uses purely harmless products for disinfectant. Our favorite product is BENEFECT, because it is plant-based, being derived from Thyme, and doesn’t have any negative effects on people, which allows us to be able to spray in work environments, and have people get back to work quickly after we are done, so that the work day and production are not impeded. At this point in the fight against COVID-19 it is about trying to help people stay healthy, and continue to allow businesses and workers to keep moving forward. We are well prepared with the best in equipment and trained, experienced staff. We have created the Certified: SERVPRO Cleaned program, that involves window decals, table toppers and signage to let the public know that a building or facility has been officially cleaned by a Certified SERVPRO technician. SERVPRO of West Pensacola continues to take care of our community, and are able to take on much more, thanks to the efficiency of our team and electrostatic sprayers. The Pensacola community is still in a state of need with the current coronavirus circumstances. So we pride ourselves on being a very affordable option in these cleanings, so that businesses that are working to recover can still have comprehensive sanitization at a cost that is viable for their business model.

Water Damage in Your Pensacola Home can Cause Significant Damage if not Treated Correctly

In Pensacola, we know that storms and water can cause a lot of damage, and we protect ourselves accordingly. We sometimes fail to realize that impact windows and reinforced construction do not protect us from a broken pipe or a leaky faucet, both of which can invite water to spread throughout our home. When you detect excessive moisture, it is best to contact a professional water restoration company to understand the scope of the damage.

Luckily, water cleanup services in Pensacola are just a phone call away when you call our specialized team at SERVPRO. Our crew trains to detect potential damage and remediate any areas of your home already suffering from excess humidity. Whether you are ankle-deep in water or your sense of smell detects moisture in the air, our staff uses state-of-the-art equipment to inspect your home and advice you on the next steps. We are available to act around the clock for your convenience, thus reducing the time your home is susceptible to damage.

What equipment is used in water restoration?

Water restoration is complex, and our SERVPRO crew is ready to handle it. Most people assume that pumps of varying sizes are equivalent to a complete restoration. Whereas this is true, it does not address the whole process. Our team uses submersible and truck-mounted pumps and wand extractors to remove water, but we also rely on additional equipment to protect your home. The following are examples of some of the tools we use:

    •    Thermohygrometers help us determine temperature and humidity levels in the environment, which informs our action steps.
    •    Moisture sensors allow us to be precise in our humidity readings within surfaces such as walls, carpets, and baseboards.
    •    Foggers- beyond extraction, foggers help us spray cleaning and disinfecting solutions to protect your home from bacteria that grow in humid environments.

SERVPRO of West Pensacola is at your service when water reaches your home. Call us at (850) 469-1160 and let us work hard to leave your home, “Like it never even happened.”

  • Restaurant equipment disinfectant application
  • Electrostatic spraying at no additional cost every time you change your filters

SERVPRO also provides odor control services, mold remediation, fire, and water-related disaster cleanup, and much more to keep commercial facilities cleaned to code. Technicians and franchise owners alike receive training in disaster cleaning, restoration, and rebuilding to benefit local businesses.

Adhering to NFPA Requirements for Kitchen Hood and Exhaust Systems

Your inspection frequency may vary based on the type of food service that you offer:

  • Annual service is required for low-volume cooking operations. This can include day camps, churches, and seasonal businesses.
  • Semi-annual service is necessitated for moderate-volume cooking operations.
  • Quarterly servicing is required for high-volume eateries, such as charbroiling, wok cooking, or 24-hour eateries
  • Monthly service is needed for eateries that cook with solid fuel like charcoal.

How NFPA 96 Applies to Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Hoods

Cleaning for Escambia County commercial kitchen exhaust systems is a complex process that must be performed by licensed professionals. SERVPRO can ensure that cleanup is done per National Fire Protection Association requirements per NFPA 96.

What is NFPA 96?

This code sets the minimum standards necessary for the cleaning of commercial kitchen exhaust systems. Its full title is NFPA 96: Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations. This collection of best practices reduces fire risks for building occupants, cleaning operators, and assets in both private and public commercial kitchen spaces.

What provisions are in NFPA 96 for exhaust system filters?

Pensacola eateries should be aware of the following guidelines for their exhaust hood filters:

  • Grease filters should be easy to access and remove for cleaning and replacement and must be installed at an angle no less than 45 degrees from the horizontal.
  • All exhaust air should pass through these filters, and the material should not distort or crush during day-to-day operations, handling, or cleaning.
  • Filters should be made of steel or an equivalent material.
  • Avoid the use of mesh filters unless they are an integral part of the exhaust hood or work in conjunction with a primary hood per UL 1046. These filters should be a minimum of 1.2 meters—or 4 feet—above the cooking surface that uses solid fuel.
  • Spark arrestor filters are required for cooking facilities that use solid fuel like wood or charcoal.

NFPA 96 also covers fire codes for grease containment systems, duct access, access panels, and fan hinges, as well as hood inspection and cleaning.

How SERVPRO Cleans Your Commercial Kitchen Space

Exhaust cleaning is performed in accordance with NFPA 96 with commercial-grade equipment. Cleanup can include grease removal, filter changes, and inspecting and repositioning equipment to fit current NFPA guidelines. SERVPRO technicians also offer a multi-pronged cleaning service that is aimed at more than just cleaning Pensacola exhaust systems. This team can also apply disinfectant to all surfaces in your eatery with a commercial-grade electrostatic sprayer.

This sprayer works by dispensing a fine mist that carries a positive electrical charge. The charge draws it to all kinds of surfaces, even hard-to-reach areas behind equipment, cabinetry, and every other nook and cranny in your facility. The layer of cleaner created by this mist goes on dry so that staff can get back to business within minutes of application. This service comes for free with your exhaust hood servicing and filter changes to ensure that your restaurant is thoroughly cleaned from top to bottom.

Technicians can also apply EPA-registered disinfectant solutions to surfaces in your commercial facilities. These cleaners are hospital-grade and also suitable for sanitizing food preparation spaces. Steam cleaning equipment is also used for sanitizing commercial kitchens and ridding them of grease and other debris.

SERVPRO of West Pensacola wants to support local restaurants with a thorough cleanup that keeps their eateries up to code and compliant with NFPA regulations. Find out more about our range hood, exhaust cleaning, and electrostatic spraying services when you call (850) 469-1160.

How Can Pensacola Properties Procure Disinfection Services?

5/5/2020 (Permalink)

SERVPRO has years of experience handling sanitization of biohazard-level cleaning needs

This novel virus has been grabbing the headlines in Pensacola and across the world and with good reason. The virus spreads rapidly and the Center for Disease Control has been able to confirm airborne transmission via droplets from coughing. Researchers also assume a high probability for the spread via high-touch surfaces so it is vital to ensure that surfaces and areas used by more than one person receive regular cleaning to lessen the chance of spreading of the disease.

What can SERVPRO do for Pensacola property owners that need disinfection services?

Our IICRC-certified technicians have training in handling dangerous pathogens and mitigation  of biohazards with EPA-registered cleaning agents and specialized equipment.

  • The application disinfectants by thermal fogging. This method heats a disinfectant solution to temperatures that cause it to become a vapor, and it is then spread throughout the premises to penetrate and neutralize pathogens within porous materials.
  • Cleaning of surfaces with antimicrobial agents following CDC best practices
  • The use of air scrubbers during cleaning to capture any potential airborne pathogens

The degree and level of cleaning that is performed can be regulated on the basis of known factors with regard to any exposure your facility may have had to infected persons. Facilities that have not been exposed to anyone known or suspected to have the virus may want to consider proactive cleaning, which can be something as simple as the application of an EPA-registered disinfectant. For facilities that have been exposed to persons known or suspected to have a virus the scope may include varying levels of cleaning and the application of disinfectants.  Call SERVPRO of West Pensacola at (850) 469-1160 for assistance or questions about how to improve the safety of your facilities today.

Advice from the medical and scientific community regarding how to deal with the coronavirus is based on present knowledge, which is subject to change as the situation continues to develop. There can be no assurance that disinfectants alone will be adequate to fully eliminate the virus. We are not physicians or infectious disease professionals. Consult your medical professionals for individual medical advice.

Why Should I Trust SERVPRO to Remove Floodwater Quickly?

4/13/2020 (Permalink)

West Pensacola Home Flooding SERVPRO can repair damage to floodwater damaged homes in West Pensacola and surrounding areas.

Delays in Flood Damage Remediation Always Cost You More in Pensacola

Knowing what kind of service you need to remove flood water properly relies on understanding how these damages occur and what the potential harms are. Flash floods can occur in virtually any environment but are usually the result of heavy rainfall or extreme weather conditions. That said, a backed-up sewage system can also be extremely damaging and require professional assistance.

Floodwater Extraction is not Simply a Case of Removing Water from your Pensacola Property

We operate an exceptional service for Floodwater Extraction in Pensacola because we have spent time and money learning about the impact of these types of damage and how best to remove them. When it comes to removal, flood water requires attention to detail as well as awareness of the potential harms it can cause. This assessment is necessary because, unlike other water removals, flood water can become inebriated with harmful pathogens.

What is Black Water?

When road overflows occur, water can absorb raw sewage and animal carcasses or herbicides, pesticides and other harmful toxins. We refer to water containing toxins as black water. Black Water is harder to extract because it is dangerous and poses a severe health risk. SERVPRO uses IICRC certificate holders, and guarantees all of our technicians hold the appropriate state and federal licenses for proper BioHazard removal.

These qualifications are essential to ensuring correct water extraction and disposal of substances in line with EPA guidelines. One of the first things we do on arrival is to expertly assess the condition of the water. Doing so allows us to proceed efficiently, whether that be truck-mounted or portable extraction units, submersible gas pumping of floodwaters or deploying rapid air-movers.

In some cases, water can be absorbed by subfloor or reside in wall cavities. Unlike other providers, SERVPRO technicians go through cross-training, meaning we can remove dry-wall or conduct remodeling work without you having to use multiple providers. As a company with access to national resources, we can promise to use the latest techniques and equipment to successfully mitigate losses, extract floodwaters and make the damage "Like it never even happened."

Why Damage from Flooding Should Be Repaired Quickly

When disasters impact your Pensacola home, time is of the essence to get the situation resolved as efficiently as possible. When situations like flooding occur, your entire property sits on a water damage timeline where the conditions get worse and worse until the appropriate mitigation techniques and restoration practices get applied. You need a professional team like ours that offers fast response times and equipment that can protect your home.

Flood damages in Pensacola spread quickly throughout your property from the moment that water enters your house. As this water spreads, every floodwater-exposed material begins to soak up the water and saturate. After only a brief period, this saturation can cause the composition of the materials like drywall to fail, swelling and distorting this construction element to the point of degradation.

Our SERVPRO professionals have built our entire franchise around our ability to respond quickly when our customers get faced with emergencies that threaten their properties. Our 24-hour response team can have boots on the ground to your address shortly after your call, with the full weight of our resources and experience to begin mitigation work on your home to protect its structural elements and contents. When a Pack-Out is Necessary Due to Fire Damage in Perdido Key

12/30/2019 (Permalink)

A melted fan sitting on the floor covered with soot and fire damage. Your Perdido keys home is going to need a lot of work after a fire damage, let us help.

Fire damage in Perdido Key will need SERVPROs assistance.

Many of the fire damage sites that SERVPRO works on only have charring and damage in a portion of the home. The techs use different methods to stop the rest of the house and furnishings from taking on smoke odors.

During a fire damage mitigation in Perdido Key, containment using either plastic barriers or in some cases, negative air chambers to keep soot from spreading throughout the home. This stops the potential for cross-contamination to areas of the house currently unaffected by coot and smoke damage.

Why SERVPRO?

The technicians at SERVPRO undergo extensive training and come to each job to save the homeowner as much loss as possible through their learned restoration methods. They also have a diverse array of equipment for specialized cleaning and drying processes to give each loss site the best outcome.

When Containment is Not Enough

In some cases, putting up barriers during mitigation of fire loss is not enough. In those situations, a pack-out is often the best course of action to minimize damage. The technicians perform this task in a very organized fashion and photograph and note the location and condition of each item removed. So when the cleanup efforts complete, each piece can return to the exact spot where they removed it.

Smoke Damage and Odor Control

After a fire, the smoke residues and soot require removal from surfaces through careful hand-cleaning. Running an air scrubber fitted with HEPA filtration is another common during fire loss mitigation to keep airborne soot particles to a minimum.

Ductwork Inspection

Because soot travels through the air so readily, if the HVAC was running post-fire, there is an excellent chance the ductwork may require inspection and cleaning to render it smoke-odor free. SERVPRO technicians complete any needed ductwork cleaning before returning the packed-out items into the residence.

SERVPRO of West Pensacola at (850) 469-1160 turns around fire damage in homes quickly with their experience and equipment to make the fire loss "Like it never even happened."

It only takes an accidental oversight for either item to cause a fire in your home, leaving you with extensive fire damage and the need to relocate at least temporarily. The restoration task may overwhelm you, especially when you see all the dust and debris resulting from the fire and extinguishing efforts. Rest assured that there are professionals ready to help you navigate such a difficult time.

When fire damage happens in Perdido Key, you can count on SERVPRO to hold your hand until your home is back to normal. Our team trains specifically for these jobs and holds certifications in water removal and fire restoration services. Even with well-meaning friends volunteering to help clean up the mess left by the fire, it is best to let the experts handle the situation.

The restoration process is not a simple one, nor is it a one-size-fits-all approach. There are three critical aspects to it, and our SERVPRO crew is prepared to handle them all. First, our team ensures that the structure is safe for us to enter.

With this reassurance in place, we begin the water extraction process to remove excess moisture left by firefighters in their effort to extinguish the fire. During this stage, you may see us bring our truck-mounted pumps as well as install submersible ones. Using advanced tools, such as infrared moisture meters, we monitor the air until we achieve optimal levels of humidity. As we move along, we begin to clean and disinfect your home. When we remove soot and dust from your belongings and walls, we take into consideration the composition of each surface and apply cleaning solutions that are safe for their specifications.

The third phase of the fire damage restoration process involves removing any foul odors left by the fire. At this time, we may use a range of products from odor pellets to thermal foggers, so when you walk back into your house, the smell of smoke is imperceptible. Odor removal is another area in which our SERVPRO crew excels, as we have available products superior to those found in the average home improvement center.

Do not let a fire derail your life. Trust SERVPRO of West Pensacola to be your ally in restoring your home. Call us at (850) 469-1160 and let us leave your home, “Like it never even happened.”

You should also protect yourself from the floodwater contaminants. Wear rubber-soled closed-toe shoes, full-length jeans, latex or rubber gloves, and long-sleeved clothes as you clean up your home. We can remove standing, muddy water using self-priming trash pumps. We classify these pumps as trash, semi-trash, full trash, or slurry pumps based on the size of solids they can pass. Full trash pumps can pass solids over 3”. Semi-trash pumps can pass solids less than 5/8″ while trash pumps can pass solids up to 1¼″. Slurry pumps can carry fluid containing mud and sand.

Our technicians can also use antibacterial agents to disinfect affected surfaces and nonporous items. If some of your porous possessions are unsalvageable, we can dispose of them. Our SERVPRO crew can then dry your home using desiccant dehumidifiers. These dehumidifiers use chemicals known as desiccants that readily absorb moisture in the air the equipment processes.

Pensacola Homes and Commercial Buildings Benefit from SERVPRO's Extensive Industry-Leading Equipment Manned by Skilled Technicians

Why SERVPRO Chooses Certain Equipment for Flood Damage Mitigation in Pensacola

During a flood, Pensacola neighborhoods become murky places where sidewalks disappear, and safe areas become dangerous. Gas lines become weak and can cause explosions. Water lines also become stressed wherever they have exposed sections because of the force of the water flowing around them. Entire neighborhoods often lose power and protecting people in the area from electrocution is a crucial consideration.

We want the residents of Pensacola to know why SERVPRO uses different types of equipment when mitigating flood damage in their homes. We use industry-leading devices that allow our work to flow more smoothly and concludes as soon as possible. We also work in teams to make our labor as efficient as possible as well as your insurance adjuster.

When a home has crawlspaces, these also suffer during a flood. We use submersible pumps that quickly extract the water and a large amount of debris from these hidden spaces. We do this after we drain the water from the living areas above if any is present. While this sublevel might seem unimportant compared to the rest of your home, its condition can affect the rest of your home.

We also use air scrubbers after we have removed drywall that came into contact with the floodwaters. These machines act like air vacuums that entrap any microbes that exist in the air. Keeping the microbe population low means your home's risk of infestations significantly decreases.

We use infrared thermal imaging to detect hidden water in smaller incidents, but during flooding, we may save this step. Mapping out moisture areas helps establish drying goals as we compare them to unaffected areas of the structure.

We know that cabinets and built-in countertops can trap water underneath them from when the floodwaters flowed above their bases, so we drain these areas. Small drill bits make holes small enough so that it is easy to cover them later. We use our Injectidry system to air the space out with warm air and treat it with an antimicrobial spray.

SERVPRO of West Pensacola wants to help you recover after a flooding event with the latest equipment and technology used in the mitigation of flood damage. Call (850) 469-1160 to contact us as early as possible after such a disaster to protect your Goulding or Sanders Beach home. We're Faster To Any Size Disaster.

How SERVPRO Removes Water From Ceilings in Your Pensacola Home

1/11/2019 (Permalink)

Our vans are fully stocked with state-of-the-art equipment to dry your home.

Why SERVPRO Drills Small Holes to Prevent or Mitigate Water Damage in Pensacola

Your home can sustain invasion from lost water in many places. Overhead, rain falling across Pensacola can find its way inside after shingles get blown loose by strong winds. Gutters can also suffer damage from winds or impact from trees that fall onto your home, and then flood your home with accumulated rain near your foundation. Broken pipes can happen anywhere in between.

Why SERVPRO technicians perform specific tasks and how they prevent or mitigate water damage in a Pensacola area home comes from their training and experience. We always want to provide our customers with the most cost-effective services possible while also performing work that we know has the best chances of remaining effective for the longest period.

Some of these methods might seem destructive, when in fact they really go a long way toward protecting your property. Water can become trapped inside dead space cavities all around your home. To get this water out, either by extraction, draining, or drying methods, we drill small holes that lets the trapped water out. These same holes can allow us to force warm air inside the space so it can dry out.

Whenever we do this, we first look for ways to hide the hole after we finish. For walls, the most common place we use is behind the baseboards. In ceilings, we might find it possible to use the space where an overhead light comes through the ceiling. While we cannot drain a ceiling this way, we can use it to send air through the entire ceiling space.

When a ceiling shows a curvature and sagging, we know that the most likely reason is trapped water weighing it down. A bucket underneath catches the water draining from tiny weep holes. As the water drains and the 'circle' becomes smaller, we drill a series of holes that follow a line across a part of your ceiling.

Patching these holes with some compound can often hide them enough that repainting the entire ceiling does not become necessary. Even with noticeable holes, this method restores the ceiling back to a safe condition and carries a lower cost than replacing the ceiling. We can reattach the ceiling to the support beams and draw it back up, “Like it never even happened.”

SERVPRO of West Pensacola performs all types of mitigation, including minor repairs caused by water damage. Residents in Goulding, Warrington, and surrounding areas, including Sanders Beach, have come to know they can rely on us when they need to protect their home. You can depend on us, also, so call our 24-hour emergency services number, (850) 469-1160.

12/7/2018 (Permalink)

Inspect your washing machine often for signs of leaks.

Water Damage from Washing Machine Failures in a Pensacola Home

There is no mistaking that washing machines have helped to simplify the life of Pensacola residents over the last many decades, but as many homeowners choose to work their appliances to the point of failure before replacing them or servicing them, your washing machine can also be anything but convenient. Aging components within the machine such as fill sensors and or bearings could result in your washing machine overflowing or spilling its full barrel contents onto the flooring. Whenever a disaster like this strikes, you have a small window of time to get to the problem before the situation causes significant damage to construction materials and the contents of the affected area.

As the water damage in your Pensacola home might be among the most pressing of concerns, you also want to quickly resolve the situation so that you do not have to spend weeks getting behind on laundry or taking loads of clothes to laundromats until the restoration completes. The longer that you wait to get a resolution in place, the more damage that can occur to vital construction elements of your home. This degradation can lead to structural failure or mold growth when left unresolved, so immediately calling professionals like our SERVPRO team is critical.

From concrete floors to tile and wood plank, our SERVPRO professionals have the tools to eliminate moisture from flooring materials to preserve them whenever possible. With the combined use of air movers and industrial-strength dehumidifiers, the technicians on site can force moisture out of materials and into the air as a vapor for collection by the dehumidification equipment. Set in moisture and dampness into flooring material can often benefit from the use of our large drying mats which offer penetrative power to dry out lingering moisture below the surface level.

Whenever a disaster like this threatens your property, give our SERVPRO of West Pensacola rapid response team a call at (850) 469-1160.

Our Experts Explain The Important Steps In Our Drying Process For Commercial Properties In Pensacola

10/31/2018 (Permalink)

If the leak happens overnight when nobody is at the school, extensive commercial water damage could take place.

Pensacola's Commercial Water Damage Team Discusses Different Drying Methods

If a toilet backs up or a pipe breaks inside your Pensacola charter school, the damage that results could be catastrophic. If the leak happens overnight when nobody is at the school, extensive commercial water damage could take place. Pipes that break can pump hundreds of gallons of water into your facility in a matter of hours. The longer building materials and your contents stay wet, the more likely things inside your Pensacola private academy will get ruined.

As soon as you notice an indoor flood at your school, it is important to call in a professional restoration company such as SERVPRO. Our team is experienced in dealing with commercial water damage in the Pensacola area. We know that large organizations like schools have a chain of command that must be followed before any work can commence. Whether it is a contracted maintenance company or it is handled in-house, we will work directly with whoever is in charge.

We also take measures to make sure that the affected area we are working in is safe. If there are any hazards, present we either immediately mitigate the issue or block off the region. Our SERVPRO team knows that safety is the number one priority when working around your teachers and children.

After we deem the area safe to work in, we begin the extraction phase. Once we are confident that we have pulled up as much moisture as possible, we begin the rapid structural drying process. When attempting to dry out your contents and building materials quickly, we test moisture levels to determine the best method.

In some cases, we use large box fans and create air circulation with air from the outside. However, in most scenarios, we utilize a closed drying system so we can better regulate the environment. In these cases, we use air movers and dehumidifiers to create an environment that helps Mother Nature speed up her natural evaporation process.

In other situations, we utilize specialized equipment like injection driers or drying mats. Injection systems get used to pump air into wall cavities, whereas drying mats help with wet hardwood floors. If you ever go to your school in the morning and notice that a disaster occurred overnight, call SERVPRO of West Pensacola at (850) 469-1160 right after you notice a problem.
